CARE INSTRUCTIONS

At Aurous Atelier, I believe jewelry is meant to be lived in, cherished, and shared. Because I prioritize both aesthetic design and structural longevity, I want to provide you with the guidance you need to keep your pieces at their brilliant best.

While I partner with specialized artisanal ateliers to bring my designs to life, jewelry is a delicate art form. Fine plating, PVD coatings, and intricate settings can be affected by daily lifestyle factors such as humidity, chemicals, and natural oxidation.

 

 How to Care for Your Jewelry

To preserve the original luster and finish of your pieces, I recommend following these signature care guidelines:

  • Protect Your Finish: Avoid direct contact with chemicals found in perfumes, lotions, and cosmetics to prevent tarnish and discoloration.
  • Keep it Dry: While many of our pieces feature water-resistant PVD coating, removing your jewelry before swimming, showering, exercising, or washing hands will significantly extend its lifespan.
  • Store with Intention: Store your pieces individually in your Aurous Atelier pouch or a jewelry box to prevent scratching or tangling. Always keep them in a cool, dark, and dry place.
  • The Post-Wear Ritual: After every wear, gently buff your jewelry with a soft, dry cloth to remove oils and residues. This simple habit will dramatically increase the lifespan of your piece.

 

How to Clean Your Jewelry

  • Gentle Buffing: Use only a soft, dry cloth to restore your piece's natural shine.
  • Avoid Harsh Agents: I do not recommend using treated jewelry polishing cloths or chemical cleaners, as these agents can strip the protective finish and damage your jewelry over time.

 

A Note on Metal Sensitivities

  • If you have delicate skin, a simple trick is to apply a thin, even coat of clear nail polish to the post or backing of your earrings. This creates a protective barrier between your skin and the metal, effectively preventing irritation. Re-apply as needed.

 

 

WARRANTY 

I stand by the quality of the pieces I curate. We offer a 1-year warranty against manufacturing faults from the date of purchase (proof of purchase required).

Please note that our warranty covers structural manufacturing faults only. It does not cover:

  • General wear and tear (such as scratches, bent rings, or broken chains).
  • Damage caused by inappropriate use, storage, or exposure to moisture/chemicals.
  • Lost or missing items.
